Storm Remedy

Kathryn came across this “Storm Remedy” on Facebook.
If your dogs are bad with storms this is worth a try. The theory is that some dogs are badly affected by the static electricity generated by the storm and this is what causes them to freak out. Apparently you can use anti static tumble dryer wipes to wipe over your dog’s coat to counteract this.  A cheaper and more dog friendly version is easy to make it yourself with bicarb, white vinegar and water.

Just add 6 tablespoons of white vinegar to 1 tablespoon of bicarb (slowly- as it fizzes impressively) & mix in.

Add two tablespoons of this mixture to one cup of water and mix.  Done.

Just soak a clean cloth in the mix and wipe over your dog’s coat – head and tail too.

There’s no smell so it’s just like water. You can add a drop of lavender oil to the mix if you have any to calm them down a bit more. Diesel’s been brilliant since I tried this.

Better Skin

Tammy loves to give a squirt of omega oil over her cat’s wet food. “Cosmic” now has a better skin condition & no more dandruff.
